About Mediation Works

Our Mission: Mediation Works transforms the way the people and communities of southern Oregon manage, resolve and heal from conflict.

Our Vision: A healthy, cohesive community where positive communication and conflict resolution is the norm.

Mediation Works is the CDRC (Center for Dispute Resolution) of southern Oregon. We are professional mediators, educators, and community volunteers dedicated to building safer, healthier communities at home, work, and at school through conflict resolution education and services.

Youth programs work with at-risk children involved with juvenile justice and in K-12 schools to foster safer learning environments through student peer mediation and bullying intervention.

Mediation Works serves the southern Oregon region through working with people in both Jackson and Josephine counties.

Our Board of Directors: Mediation Works is governed by an active Board of Directors. The Board is a dedicated panel of community members who, as part of their tenure have the following goals for the organization:

  • To model and teach effective conflict management skills in Jackson and Josephine Counties.

  • To reduce the number of juveniles involved in the Juvenile Justice System, and to reduce recidivism.

  • To create and improve relationships, among individuals, organizations, and communities.

  • To assist individuals in resolving disputes outside the adversarial model.

  • To save the courts time and taxpayers money through the use of alternative dispute resolution processes.
